Players to watch this season

We will be looking at the players to look out for in the 2020/21 season and even though the season has been underway for sometime, we cant help but looking at some of the possible break out stars in non-league.

Seb Bowerman (Bracknell)

First up on this list is Seb Bowerman currently playing for Bracknell town at Step 4 in non league. Seb is deployed as a winger mostly for Bracknell, but has speed, skill and much more to terify the opposition defence. In the disrupted 19-20 season, he had 17 games and must be looking to improve on this in the current season. While his team Bracknell are looking for promotion this season, there is no doubt Seb could be playing much higher in the next few seasons.

Danny Parish (Wealdstone)

We tipped Danny as a possible signing for Wealdstone in the summer and he duely signed less than week later. During pre-season he had an impressive time, scoring 5 goals, but has so far been restricted to the bench and sub apperance during the clubs national league campaign. Since his release from Brentford a few years ago, he has a great scoring a record and with great service from the stones midfield believe he could easily get 10-15 goals.

George Moore (Harrow Borough)

Next up is another local player, George Moore who plays at Step 3 for Harrow Borough having previously played at North Greenford. Described as wide midfielder player he has 7 goals so far this season, one less than he had for the whole of last season. If he can keep improving there is no chance we can add to list of players who have left the club for teams higher up the pyramid.

Seb Drozd (Uxbridge)

Another local player here is Seb Drozd, who is poised to step up into the 1st team at Uxbridge this season. He has an impressive record in the club’s youth setup and has been picked at several age levels for the Middlesex county sides. He plays as a winger once again and has a good powerful shot on him as well. If he can keep a place in the Uxbridge 1st team and develop his game, he then could be looking at playing at a higher level in the next 18 months- 2 years.

Kahil Francis (Chalfont)

On this list, we have another winger in the shape of Kahil Francis who we have spoken about in our interview with his manager Finlay Johnson and our match report of their recent victory against Hanwell. Much like Seb who we recently spoke about, Kahil is a tricky player who likes to beat the oppersition defenders on the wing and has also been part of the Middlesex sides when he was an Edgware player.

Temi Barbola (Concord)

We have a forward on the list with Temi Barbola currently played for Concord at Step 2 of non-league. This summer he even had a trial with championship side Luton Town as he chases another jump up the football pyramid. Off the post became aware of Temi a few seasons ago playing for Woodford Town in the Essex senior league at Step 5

Dwade James (Walthamstow)

It’s time for another striker on the list, with Step 5 striker Dwade James at Walthamstow. In his 3 seasons with the clubs so far has a record of 62 games and 67 goals. This caused Hendon to move for him in the summer of 2020, but by October he had returned back to Walthamstow. There is no doubt that if he can keep up his scoring record, that other clubs higher up the pyramid will tempt him.

Josh Mayhew (Stowmarket)

The third striker on the list is up next as we move up to Stowmarket and Josh Mayhew who hit 32 goals in 36 apperences last season and 28 goals the season before. Josh knows where the net is as you can see below. He has a good peidgree on a striker, so can he work his way up the pyramid this season?
